- Julie Hedlund’s 12 x 12 http://www.juliehedlund.com/registration-for-2014/This is my third year as a member. The premise is you will end up writing 12 picture book drafts in 12 months. The group has tons of info, a forum for fellow writers, a community for joining or starting a critique group and a chance to send your manuscript to agents every month and much much more! There are three levels of membership. Sign ups are only open for one more month (until Feb 28th, 2014).

- The SCBWI http://www.scbwi.org/I was a member last year. I’d like rejoin once I start attending conferences.
- CBI Clubhouse http://cbiclubhouse.com/I was a member of this group before the SCBWI group. It's a wonderful community of writers and full of extremely helpful info.

6. Making Picture Book Magic [this is an online class]
I took this class in November of 2013. It’s was unbelievably helpful. I’m still using the
instructor’s techniques with my current manuscripts. You can’t beat the price either. Make sure to
follow Susanna’s blog http://susannahill.blogspot.com/ it’s loaded with info for picture book writers.
And she always hosts fun contests.
