Awards & Shout-Outs

A gift from David Powers King
Thank you!

The Liebster Award (meaning "friend" in German) is meant to spotlight new bloggers who have less than 200 members--but hopefully not for long. The rules for accepting the Liebster Award are:

1. Thank the giver and link back to their blog.

2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know.

3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.

4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love.

5. And most of all - have bloggity-blog fun!

6. List some fun questions to go along with your blog award(I added this one)

I'm going to give a Shout-Out to the 5 bloggers, right now!

1. Lola X

2. Jessie Humphries

3. Pat Newcombe

4. The Writing Well

5. Loveskidslit

Now Answers Five Fun Questions:

1. What are the first 3 words in your story(for the story you are writing now)?

2. How long have you been writing for? (from what age)

3. How many books have you started (or finished)?

4. Do you draw pictures to go along with your writing?

5. If your character had to have a password for something, what would it be?

  1. Thanks Jennifer for the award and shout out. As it turns out, that little Liebster is really getting around and this is my third time recieving it. I dont think I will post about it again, but BIG thanks. And good luck to you too in your story telling.

  2. Thanks, Jennifer! I've put it up on my blog.
In answer to your fun questions:
    1. "To my children."
    2. When I was five, I remember writing a lengthy story about an Australian aboriginal nomad living with her family. It was pages long, and got me sent to the principal's office. My terror of that is the only reason I remember that story, so the moral: terrorize your children when you realize they are writers.
3.Many more of the former than the latter!
    4. I have no talent in that area, but thankfully can spot it in other people. I am having a great collaborative experience with an artist!
    5. Now, you just want to hack my computer, dont' you!

  4. Thanks so much Jennifer!!! Much appreciated. I have just done a post about it! The answers are:-

    1. What are the first 3 words in your story(for the story you are writing now)?
Ans: Okay, these are too rude to actually post here... hehehe!!! I'll have to let you check it out on the link below - http://lola-x.blogspot.com/2011/05/meet-lola.html

    2. How long have you been writing for? (from what age)

Ans: Since I was about 12 actually though this is the first time I've ever blogged.

    3. How many books have you started (or finished)?

Ans: None. I'm just blogging right now and had no plans to start writing a full book. I might do soon. Stay tuned.

    4. Do you draw pictures to go along with your writing?

Ans: Always! :-) Pictures go great with stories.

    5. If your character had to have a password for something, what would it be?

Ans: Anything with the word 'fun' as part of it.

  5. You're welcome guys, so glad you stopped by to leave me a note.

@Jessie, Thank you for your kind words and congrats on your other awards! :)

@LoveKidsLit, Wow, what a great memory you must have. I can't remember what I wrote back in college let alone Kindergarten. Best of luck with your writing.

@Lola X, I look forward to any books you write, keep me posted. My character's password also would share that same word! Too funny!

  7. Hi Jennifer,
I am so excited to receive this award. I'm on my way to thank David on his blog as well! I have been trying to leave this message on your blog since I got the message from you, but my account was acting up, ugh! Ok, so we here we go again.

1.After the funeral... (ooooh doesn't that sound good already?).

    2. I would say my early twenties, mostly poems and teeny tiny short stories.

    3. Well, I can't say actually finished but -I have started 2 books and 6 short stories.

4.I am not gifted in drawing, however I do see all the parts of my stories in scenes like in a movie you know?

5.Theperfectlife? Although now that I've shared that I could never use in real life only fiction/fantasy.

Please visit my newbie blog at www.thewritingwellproject.com Thanks again
