Chopsticks - A Book Review

Title: Chopsticks
Author: Amy Krouse Rosenthal
Illustrator: Scott Magoon
Publication date: January 31, 2012
Publisher: Hyperion Book CH
Suitable for ages: 4 +
Themes: Friendship, Independence, Encouragement

First two lines from the book
Perhaps you've met Chopsticks? They've been best friends for...forever.

Why I like this book
Spoon was the first book I found of Amy's and loved. When I picked up Chopsticks I had a feeling it would be just as good. It's witty, humorous and full of puns. One of my favorite parts has to be after Chopstick gets hurt and an actual whisk races him off to the doctors - too cute!
The synopsis -  Taken from Amazon:
Meet Chopsticks! They've been best friends forever. But one day, this inseparable pair comes to a fork in the road. And for the very first time, they have to figure out how to function apart. From New York Times best-selling author Amy Krouse Rosenthal and rising artistic talent Scott Magoon, this witty and inventive tale celebrates both independence and the unbreakable bonds of friendship.

  1. This sounds awesome! I think I need some of the chopsticks in the clip. Sometimes I'm patient enough to use them and other times I too hungry! lol! I still love using them though!

  4. Well, the art of using chopsticks is quite unique but it's relevance can be better left to be decided by individual preferences rather than a collective opinion.
