I have been MIA for a few weeks trying to get my two kiddo's ready for back-to-school. I'm still in a little shock that my baby girl is a kindergartner.
I guess I'll admit that I needed a little break from blogging. I needed a little more me time, so I planned a Bunko party and even enjoyed most of my summertime reading.
Here's a brief book list of some
memorable books.
Books I couldn't put down
Harry Potter (I'm looking forward to reading the rest)
The Hunger Games (I'm rereading at the moment)
The Help (What a great book)
Book(s) I wanted to put down but couldn't because I hate not finishing a book
Fifty Shades of Gray (All I have to say is...it's just not my style)
I'll be back after Labor Day with hopefully more from my Let's Ask series. If anyone is interested in being a guest just shoot me over an email.
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy
Labor Day!
Cooper just started kindergarten too. I have to say, I've been a little uninspired with my blog now that the curious kids are in school most days. I'm hoping I'll revive things post Labor Day as well. Good luck with the first day of school!
ReplyDeleteYou guys too! Hope Cooper enjoys his first year and I hope you find some inspiration for your blog Kirsten.
DeleteOh, I love your new blog layout! And yay for reading Harry Potter for the first time. ;0) My baby starts kindergarten and I can't believe it either. And I haven't picked up Fifty Shades cause I already know it's not my style.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Jenny! Yeah, Harry Potter was a fun read. I bought the first book but can borrow the rest - yay! Best of luck to your kiddo's first year.
DeleteI finally finished the HP series this spring. I'll know in a few years what that's like for kindergarten fun and scary. We have a lot of work to do before that first day.
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! I hope to start the next one soon. Thanks for stopping by Stacy

Hi Kate! Thank you so much. I am very flattered that you thought of me. I'll try and get my done soon. Thanks for your visit :0)
DeleteI agree with your list: I am enjoying Hunger Games. I did not read the rest of Fifty Shades (because I talked a girlfriend into telling me what happened so I could have closure but avoid suffering through the other books).
ReplyDeleteAlso, enjoyed the books Matched & Crossed, if you are looking for a new read.
Hi Lauri! My husband is now just starting the hunger games so now we have to share my Nook :/
DeleteThanks for the book suggestion I'll definitely check it out.
