The sleighs are packed and ready

Christmas is coming!!! I can't believe I've been such a slacker. I have put everything on hold, even my writing a bit. So yesterday, I did some small time shopping and even wrapped today. My daughter and I worked on these candy sleighs for her cousins.  It was a lot of fun and easy to do.

You just need:
  • wrapping paper + tape
  • a variety of candy including candy canes
  • bows or make your just own

Also, December is the very last month in the 12 x 12 in 2012 picture book challenge hosted by Julie Hedlund.  So far I have completed 11 rough drafts manuscripts, one per month starting January.  I'm looking forward to next year's challenge, the 12 x 12 in 2013.  If anyone is interesting in finding out more about the challenge please click here.

Thanks for your visit!

  1. Happy Christmas, Jennifer! Those candy canes look great. I forgot about that tradition, my mother-in-law told me about it last year and what they represent and here I was thinking it was just candy. :)

  2. Merry Christmas Jennifer. Haven't checked in for a while. Love the cute candy cane sleighs -- like home made crafty gifts. Great to teach kids to give from their hearts.

    1. Merry Christmas Patricia! Thanks for the kind words. They were fun and easy to make. My five year old wanted to make them all night long haha.
